Another sterling performance from David Cook

Young Guns battle out for this week's Top Movie

For this week, I've got three choices for the movies to watchin theaters.

At First is 21."21," based on Ben Mezrich's best-selling nonfiction book "Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions," revolves around a group of young men who become experts in the art of card counting. Stars Kevin Spacey,Laurence Fishburne,Jim Sturgess and Kate Bosworth.

Second is Stop-Loss.Decorated Iraq war hero Sgt. Brandon King makes a celebrated return to his small Texas hometown following his tour of duty. Brandon tries to resume the life he left behind with the help and support of his family and his best friend, Steve Shriver, who served with him in Iraq. Alongside their war-time buddies, Brandon and Steve try to make peace with civilian life. Then, against Brandon's will, the Army orders him back to duty in Iraq. This upends Brandon's entire world. The conflict into which he is thrown tests everything he believes in: the bond of family, the loyalty of friendship, the limits of love, and the value of honor. It stars Ryan Philippe,Abbie Cornish and Timothy Olyphant.

Third is Superhero Movie. This is a spoof of all the comic book superheroes that's been turn to movie.Pokes fun at the multitude of superhero films, from "Spider-Man" to "Batman Begins" and "Fantastic Four."Drake Bell and Sara Paxton leads the pack.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

It is Lenten season, and I believe that it would be best that we reflect. Hence, I belieed that there is no any new great movie that will be shown this week, I'm suggesting that you check out The Ten Commandments Ultimate 2 Disc DVD edition.

This movie withstands the tests of times due to it's acting and story. There are so many effects laden movies now sometimes the plots are left out and the quality of performances suffer. Not here I highly suggest seeing this classic movie about Moses.

The scale of this movie is insane! Nothing can even come close to the size and scale of this film (made over 50 yearas ago) even by todays standards. A must see for believers and non believers alike!

This is an amazing film for all time. It has every element action, passion, drama, romance etc... It really reached my high expectations, and for the year that it was made that's pretty imppresive. This movie is so much better than some of the pathetic attempts that we have today. You don't want to miss this film!

If you've seen it before, you might wanna check it out again instead of partying on Holy Week

Pacquiao wins via split decision

Manny Pacquiao has finally finished his business with Juan Manuel Marquez by beating him in their much awaited rematch after four years for the WBC super featherweight via split decision. With official scores of 115-112 and 114-113 Pacquiao and 115-112 Marquez

Juan Manuel Marquez won the first two rounds with Manny Pacquiao still trying to figure how to contain and counter Marquez moves. But come the third round, Manny Pacquiao was all fired up and knock Marquez down.

Marquez was such a brilliant boxer that he managed to win the fifth and sixth round and last up to Round 12. It was an orthodox boxer against a Southpaw boxer. So Pacquiao is having a hard time to find the right shot against Marquez.

If Pacquiao hadn’t knock Marquez down, Marquez would have won the fight. But the Filipino Boxer is a tough nut to crack and he won’t be stopped, he has the heart of a champion.
Now the third fight between these two boxing greats looks very exciting and will still draw bigger crowds. Let them finish once it for all, who’s the best between these two? Pacquiao could brag one; I daresay that Marquez is aching for a third fight.

David Cook's does Eleanor Rigby

Guess I was right at who will be booted out and it was David Hernandez, former stripper.

This time I'd like to share what I think was the most brilliant performance during the Lennon-McCartney Week, and it was David Cook's version of Eleanor Rigby.

He Rocks the House, He could be the next Chris Daughtry or he maybe the first rocker to win the American Idol.

So stay tune and keep rockin.

Who would you vote off ?

We've seen them perform and now it's time for us to judge them. Who would you vote out ?

The Final 12 sung their Lennon-McCartney Songs and some of them are just not great.

Syesha Mercado was electrifying in the opening. As usual David Cook rocks the house with his rendition of Eleonor Rigby. Chikezie was also amazing with his performance.Rockers Carly Smithson and Amanda Overmyer rocks the house.

Kristy Lee Cook did a country style Eight Days a Week and Simon wasn't impressed, although I'm impressed with her beauty. It was a soulful performance for Brooke White, Jason Castro and Michael Johns.

Now that leaves me to my weakest three, Ramiele Malubay, David Hernandez and David Archuleta. David Archuleta even forgot some of his lyrics.

My choice to leave is David Hernandez. His version of I Saw Her Standing There was awful, dreadful and forgettable.

How about you, who do yout hink should go ?

What is it for this week ?

This week is tough, There are three good films that will be shown this week.

If you like zombie and futuristic film Doomsday is for you.In "Doomsday," a lethal virus spreads throughout a major country and kills hundreds of thousands. To contain the newly identified Reaper, the authorities brutally quarantine the country as it succumbs to fear and chaos. The literal walling-off works for three decades - until Reaper violently resurfaces in a major city. An elite group of specialists, including Eden Sinclair (Mitra), is urgently dispatched into the still-quarantined country to retrieve a cure by any means necessary. Shut off from the rest of the world, the unit must battle through a landscape that has become a waking nightmare. It's like Resident Evil meets Mad Max.

For the whole family there's Dr. Seuss Horton Hears a Who.The makers of ICE AGE, and comedy giants Jim Carrey and Steve Carell, bring to life DR. SEUSS' beloved HORTON HEARS A WHO. An imaginative elephant named Horton (Carrey) hears a faint cry for help coming from a tiny speck of dust floating through the air. Although Horton doesn't know it yet, that speck houses an entire city named Who-ville, inhabited by the microscopic Whos, led by the Mayor (Carell). Despite being ridiculed and threatened by his neighbors who think he has lost his mind.

For teenagers alike and those who like martial arts films, there's Never Back Down. This film is in the tradition of The Karate Kid and No Retreat No Surrender. At his new high school, a rebellious teen ( Shane Faris) is lured into an underground fight club, where he finds a mentor in a mixed martial arts veteran (Hounsou).

The New Nokia N82

The Nokia N82 is the latest high-end imaging-focused device from the Finnish manufacturer. With a Xenon flash, a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, and video capture at 30 frames per second, the Nokia N82 is set to replace the venerable N73 in the Nseries imaging lineup. Going back to the candy bar form factor that Nokia is known for, does the Nokia N82 set the benchmark high for other multimedia handsets?

The N82 is one of the first Nseries candy bar phones since the Nokia N73. It feels solid in the hand, and the sides are slanted slightly to offer better grip. There are no creaks when handling the N82, even though the body's cover is made from plastic. The only noise that I can coax out of this phone comes from pressing down on the d-pad. When I first received the device, there was a clicking sound, as if the membrane inside was sticking to the physical button. However, as expected, after some use the sound has disappeared. The back of the device sports a geometrical striped design with a smooth surface that, unfortunately, attracts fingerprints easily. The Nokia N82 is currently only available in a white and silver color scheme, though more colors have been promised for the first quarter of 2008, but we are already in March and no new colors yet.

The buttons on the Nokia N82 are different from what I've seen on an S60 device before. However, after some use, I grew to really enjoy using them. The end and send keys are large, and positioned at the left and right edges of the phone, as with the Nokia N81 8GB. Between them lie the softkeys and S60 keys, with the d-pad and its center select button located in the middle. The softkeys and s60 keys are really just 2 rocker-style buttons. Pressing on the top half of the key gets the appropriate softkey function, while pressing on the lower half will trigger the S60 or "c" button. The reduced sized multimedia key is on the right, next to the "end" key and activates the new S60 multimedia menu, made up of panels with nice transition animations to facilitate a smooth look. The numeric keypad is quite different, with very small buttons that are each about the size of a grain of rice, with key labels printed directly above each button. These keys were slightly difficult to get used to, but after some time I have found that they make fast SMS composition much easier, eliminating the problem of accidentally pressing surrounding buttons.

The microSD card slot on the Nokia N82 is covered by a plastic tab that is easily opened and keeps dust and other foreign particles from getting inside. The 5 megapixel camera is located on the back of the N82, with a Xenon flash above the lens, and a lens-cover switch located to the right of the lens. The dual stereo speakers are both located on the right side of the handset, one at the top and the other at the bottom.
SO if you are tech crazy, grab one now.

GOD OF WAR : Chain of Olympus - God's Game in PSP

God Of War: Chains of Olympus is a prequel, in which we're following Kratos in a series of events that take place before GOW1 on the PS2. The story takes us into Kratos' past .We'll learn more about his love, his daughter and his hatred of Zeus as we travel through heaven and hell, battle all sorts of titans, ghosts, monsters and even the Gods themselves in this Epic adventure through ancient Greece!

The developers have done an amazing job into delivering a great movement and combat system using the analog-pad and the buttons for those infamous action-combat sequences. Kratos walks, jumps, climbs and charges lthe way we're used to see him do it, and the PSP offers some slick controls for performing side dodges, forward tumbles, and even a slick swimming-system.
The combat system has been transitioned well from its PS2 counterpart; it has mostly been rooted with two buttons, but the more you power-up your weapons, the more combos you will unlock, and these become increasingly powerful and more fun to watch. As always, you have the rewarding combo- -counter system that tallies the consecutive hits; the more you hit,the more red orbs you'll get after the final kills.

The mind blowing visuals you will experience from the opening movie to the first epic boss fight will leave you stunned. The levels are considerably big, yet manageable, and the animation is crisp & fluid. The camera work is flawless, as it really has to be like this since the PSP doesn't actually have a second stick for cam. control!

Overall,COO is one amazing game, but Ready At Dawn has already proven they can get the best out of the PSP with their previous release Daxter. God of War : COO puts Daxter in 2nd place…by being the most technically impressive and best looking game currently available on the PSP.
In the end,Chains of Olympus is a reason enough to purchase a PSP. Sure, we've seen most quality PSP titles eventually make their way to the PS2, but you won't want to wait for a port…assuming there is one even in the works. I can guarantee you that anyone who picks up COO won't be able to put it down. It truly is one of the best games currently available for the system.

So go to your nearest gaming store and buy this game now!! And if you do not have a PSP,then get one right know just for this game!

10,000 B.C. to rule Box-Office

My top movie choice for the week is 10,000 B.C. From director Roland Emmerich comes a sweeping odyssey into a mythical age of prophesies and gods, when spirits rule the land and mighty mammoths shake the From director Roland Emmerich ("Independence Day," "The Day After Tomorrow") comes a sweeping odyssey into a mythical age of prophesies and gods, when spirits rule the land and mighty mammoths shake the earth.

In a remote mountain tribe, the young hunter D'Leh (Steven Strait) has found his heart's passion - the beautiful Evolet (Camilla Belle). But when a band of mysterious warlords raid his village and kidnap Evolet, D'Leh leads a small group of hunters to pursue the warlords to the end of the world to save her. As they venture into unknown lands for the first time, the group discovers there are civilizations beyond their own and that mankind's reach is far greater than they ever knew. At each encounter the group is joined by other tribes who have been attacked by the slave raiders, turning D'Leh's once-small band into an army.

Driven by destiny, the unlikely warriors must battle prehistoric predators while braving the harshest elements. At their heroic journey's end, they uncover a lost civilization and learn their ultimate fate lies in an empire beyond imagination, where great pyramids reach into the skies. Here they will take their stand against a tyrannical god who has brutally enslaved their own. And it is here that D'Leh finally comes to understand that he has been called to save not only Evolet but all of civilization.

If you're a fan of the Road Trip movie, prepare to be disappointed with College Road Trip, I thought this was some sort of a sequel for the Road Trip Movies, But it was made by Disney so a little disappointment for me.

If you like thriller, I'm recommending The Bank Job.It was inspired by a real-life 1971 London bank robbery that was never solved. A band of thieves tunneled their way into a safe deposit vault, taking millions of dollars in cash and jewelry. The robbery made headlines for several days, but then all reporting stopped as a result of a government gag order. In "Bank Job," the crime involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with links to the royal family. Ultimately, the thieves are among the most innocent involved. It stars Jason Statham of The Transporter
