Latest LCD TV

Just visited the mall over the weekend, and I always do check the latest in electonic appliances. Whether be it a Home entertainment system or TV. There is one TV that's on display that really attracts people, which also caught my attention.

That TV just happens to be the new LCD TV series from Samsung. " Wow " I said to myself, this is the future of TV. The Color and Brightness are just brilliant and superb. I quickly asked the salesman and ask for its features.

The Samsung LCD TV has a supported resolution of 1080p, it also has a USB connection. Plus it supportss HDMI connection instead of the usual Audio-Video connection. HDMI by the way, is far more superior than the regular A-V connection, in terms of picture delivery and is also simplified cable solution.

If you're also a gamer like me, you might just love it because of its exhilarating graphics and awesome sound. When you turn on the game mode,the contrast in dark areas is amplified, the bass sound is enriched, and the response time to game console's movement is shortened, creating the best environment to enjoy fast-moving video games.

Also it does not occupy much space because of its Slim Fit features, you can place it anywhere you like.

Now let's talk about the price, Samsung LCD TV is probably the most affordable LCD TV out in the market today. It's 32 inches is ranging around $ 1,100.00 while the biggest with 52 inches cost around $ 8,600.00

After almost a month...

After almost a month, the Boston Celtics just dominated their first ten games with only a single loss coming form the hands of the Orlando Magic.

I was surprised that the Big Three of the Celtics would jell easily and lose only once. Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen seems to be playing good music after all. But the question now, can they maintain good teamwork and lead the team to the Finals? Or will they falter just like the LA Lakers of 2004, with Shaq, Kobe, Malone and Payton?

Another surpise is Milwaukee Bucks whose leading his division now, same as with the Orlando Magic. Well of course, the Magic got Rashard Lewis from the Seattle Supersonic. And he has been a great addition to the team.

Over at the Western Conference, Defending champion San Antonio Spurs still dominate the West with a 12-2 record, followed closely by Phoenix Suns at 11-2 and the Utah Jazz at 10-4. Its no surprise that the Spurs dominate the West, of course most people still think they can win mist games. But the big question for them, can they finally win back to back title this time?

I can say that if the Big Three of the Spurs remained helathy, they can finally nail down that back to back championship.

METROID PRIME 3: CORRUPTION A TRUE SHOOTER

If there's one shooter game in the Nintendo Wii that truly rocks, it must be Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

This is the only first Metroid Prime in the Wii console, but you won't be disappointed with it. This is a must have title if you own a Nintendo Wii. This is one of the greatest game ever in Nintendo Wii.

After her adventures on Aether, Samus Aran returns to help out the Galactic Federation's base, which has been attacked by her alter ego, Dark Samus. Now we all know that Dark Samus was first introduced in Metroid Prime 2.

In terms of graphics,controls and gameplay, Corruption definitely stood out as one of the best title in Wii. There's a helathy balance of combat,puzzle solving, and exploration, and most importantly Metroid Prime 3: Corruption takes full advantage of the Wii-mote, which you aim at the screen. As Samus moves from planet to planet, she'll uncover hidden armor and weapon upgrades will helpunlock other items or hidden parts of the map.

Another great thing about this game, there's an extended ending. You must have at least a 75% completion of the game which means you'll try harder to gather as many hidden item as you can.

Naomi Watts joins Angel & Demons Movie

I've heard the news that Naomi Watts has just grabbed the role for Vittoria Vetra,the heroine in Dan Brown's novel Angel & Demons.

Whoa, wait Naomi Watts as Vittoria Vetra in the film adaptation of Angel & Demons? Are the producers joking ? Didn't they know that Vittoria is an Italian? No bad things about Naomi Watts, I mean she's a great actress, beautiful and sexy, but to play Vittoria that's a big joke. Well maybe she can get the accent over the dubbing, but the features are simply not Italian.

Maybe the producers should have taken real Italian actress, just like with what they did with The Da Vinci Code, they got Audrey Tatou. My personal choice to play Vittoria Vetra is no ohter than the sexy,luscious Monica Belluci. Just look at her face, makes your @&#%$ harder just by looking at her.

I loved her in The Matrix sequels, especially in Malena. I do believe that she can do justice in Vittoria Vetra character in the film. I also loved Naomi Watts, specifically in King Kong, but to play an Italian. The casting people should check about it if they want to stay faithful in the book.

NBA 2K8 greatest basketball game out there

If there is one basketball game out in the market today that truly stands out, it must be 2K Sports NBA 2K8. With Chris Paul on the cover, this game surely displays its greatness from the graphic to the sounds to the player moves.

2K Sports has consistently made their franchise fun to play and truly enjoyable. The player images richly resemble the players they were copied from. Even the moves and the skills of each player were outstanding.

Although NBA LIVE 08 have the FIBA Mode, NBA 2K8 has the draft class from 2000 to present, also the International All Stars. They even have the Jordan All Stars which consist of Chris Paul, Rip Hamilton, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony etc.

One flaw about this game, if they’re gonna put a Jordan All Star team, perhaps Michael Jordan should be included in lineup. Now that would be great, calling the attention of 2K sports please include Michael Jordan. And please include Michael Jordan in your Superstar All Stars Roster.

NBA 2K8 is a must have for basketball gamers out there. From a scale of 1 to 10 this is an 8.5

Just in time for Halloween, I am posting my Top Five Scariest Movie of All Time.

5.) STIGMATA – it may not be even on other people’s list, but this movie surely scares the shit out of me when I first saw it. It stars Gabriel Byrne as a priest who tracks down a woman believed to be with stigmata. Stigmata occurs when the wound of Christ appears on a person.

4.) AMITYVILLE – Saw it first when I was a kid, and I was really hiding under the blanket when I was watching it. The House was so creepy and they got no neighbors near their house. Talkin about Haunted House this movie defines it.

3.) THE EXCORCIST – It may be other people’s top choice for the scariest movie of all time. The movie has some wonderful creepy moment especially when Linda Blair turns her head. Pretty scary indeed. Fighting the devil was the strength of the film.

2.) THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE – The movie may not be about the devil, but Leatherface is pure evil. Raised by some nutcase family in Texas, his family itself is evil. Considering that the movie was based on true story, it sure is pretty scary to visit their town with all the nuthead living in it. That it one place on earth I sure don’t wanna
visit.
1.) THE RING – My number one pick for the scariest movie of all time. The Japanese or the original version was better and scarier than the remake in US. It almost gave me heart attack when Sadako first came out of the TV screen. I thought that she was then really coming out of my TV screen. This movie has spawn two more sequels and two US version, but nothing beats the original in terms of spookiness, creepiness and the nightmare it gave after seeing it. Cant sleep after seeing it.
