Battle of the Two Davids

Tonight's the big night for the two DAVID in the American Idol. David Cook and David Archuleta. The two singers are very different from each other.

David Cook is a rocker, and is very good with some of his arrangements in the songs he have chosen most particularly Always Be My Baby and Hello. He also have this strong personality and sure is a ladies man. So I guess girls aged between 20 - 40 years old will vote for him. David Cook has proven his versatility, you thought that he could only sing rock song, but think again look at how he performs during The Andrew Lloyd Webber week with his rendition of Music of the Night. I daresay that it was even better than the original.

David Archuleta is a balladeer, who is just like previous Idol winners, a balladeer. David fanbase are teenage girls who seems to have strong voting power. David Archuleta can sing almost every song except one, Rock song. He did show his weakness during the Rock and Roll week, instead of performing a Rock and Roll song he sang Leave Me Tender which is obviously a ballad song. Plus during the Top 12 first night, when he was singing We Can Work It Out, he forgot some lyrics of the song during the the first minute.

But if I were to choose who among the two Davids, I prefer Cook to be the next American Idol.

Why ? Because David Cook's studio version of his songs is almost like a hot record, if you've listened to it you know what I meant. David Cook can sell record now and become a certified hitmaker.

Expect him to be a big star. My choice for American Idol.

Blazin Performance at American Idol

It was Neil Diamond week at American Idol and the remaining Top 5 contestant sung two of Neil Diamond's song.

Jason Castro delivered another weak performance this week, although much better this week compared to last week. Both of his songs got negative remarks from the judges and he's in danger of being eliminated.

David Archuleta second song was far better than his first. His first song was called by Simon as amateurish.

A more confident Brooke White performs kinda well last night. Although I liked both of her song, I think Simon was being cruel to Brooke when he said that her first song was a nightmare.

Syesha Mercado still sizzles with her performance, although her performance was only Ok for me.

Now David Cook is the one that stood out at both songs, he can do wonders at the songs he chooses. Just like with his two songs All I Really Want is You and I'm Alive, the songs feels modern and new.

I definitely think that he is the next American Idol.

America got it wrong once again

America had done it again; they committed the mistake twice this season. First it was the ouster of Michael Johns and now it was Carly Smithson’s turn to leave the show American Idol.

Carly Smithson is the best performer last night with her rendition of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Brooke White was the one who was supposed to leave the show; Americans just got it all wrong once again. Her performance was so weak and her voice was trembling when she was performing. Besides she committed the biggest blunder ever in American Idol. Forgetting the lyrics and starting over again is forgettable.

Carly was robbed of her place; she should still be staying in the show.

I was also surprised that Brooke White was not even in the bottom two; instead Carly shares the spot with Syesha Mercado. Syesha Mercado also had a big night last night.

Maybe next week, Brooke White will leave the show or yet again another shocker will happen in the show.

Carly Smithson's Big Night

Brooke White committed the most outrageous blunder in the American Idol. She forgot the lyrics that she had to start from the beginning. Andrew Lloyd Webber was all praised about Brooke, but lo and behold Brooke just stopped and said sorry. Must have been mental block or maybe the spotlight is just too bright for her, after her song, her face was all gloomy and her eyes were teary. I just think that she will be out this week.

Syesha Mercado was so hot and sexy during her presentation. Randy was right saying that it was her most brilliant performance. Jason Castro was kinda nervous while performing, the song just didn’t fit in his category. If Brooke just didn’t get into trouble I would have vote him out.

David Archuleta and David Cook continues to sizzle with their awesome show of brilliance during their performance.

But the night belongs to Carly Smithson who simply just brings down the house with her rockin powerful performance to date with her very own rendition of Jesus Christ Superstar. Her performance simply suits her very strong personality. Andrew Lloyd Webber just got the right idea of changing her song from All I ask of you to Jesus Christ Superstar. Good thing Carly listened to Mr. Andrew Lloyd Webber and her performance bolster her chances of making it to the top three.

American Idol Most Brilliant Performance to date

The Boys stood out today in these week’s American Idol, where the show is all about Mariah Carey’s songs.

David Archuleta started the show with a strong rendition of Miracle, a duet by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. The judges loved him so much that Simon Cowell said that David Archuleta is the one to beat tonight.

Carly Smithson, who seems to be getting beautiful and beautiful every week, followed up with Without You. Followed by Sasyha Mercado with an unpopular song by Mariah Carey.

Brooke White and Kristy Lee Cook’s performance are so damn poor, that I even think that Kristy Lee Cook is about to leave the show. This week might just be it.

The Most Brilliant Performance to date according to Randy Jackson was by no other than Mr. It, David Cook, and the complete package according to Paula Abdul. She even said that his rendition of Always be my baby, could be a movie soundtrack. Randy also said that he could start making a hit record now. Simon also applauded David Cook’s performance. David Cook was all tears after the judges’ raves about him.

Jason Castro ended the show with a cool song, more of a beach song according to Randy Jackson. But it was also a great cover for Mariah’s songs.

AMERICAN IDOL SHOCKER

I was shocked at the results of the latest elimination that happened last night at the American Idol.
It was an emotional farewell for Australian Michael Johns, as the judges keep ontalking about moving on and he's that a great career ahead of him.
Fans keep booing when his name was mentioned as the one who got eliminated, First time in the bottom three and he's already eliminated.
I was expecting him to be in the Finals against David Cook, now I've learned that this is really a popularity contest and not just a talent show. You are not safe no matter how talented you are.
It was too early for him to be eliminated, there are two that I think that should've gone home instead. But that's life, America may have forgotten to vote him.

Bye Bye Malubay

Fil-Am Ramiele Malubay was booted out of the American Idol. Ramiele failed to impress the viewers in this week competition. Country Song is just not her forte, so she had a hard time convincing televiewers to vote for her. Always the emotional one when it comes to elimination night, This time the light went out for her.

This gal is not used to country music, she is more of a power singer.Much like to the singing of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston. Heck, I think she has the best voice among the female contestant. It was just her weakness in country that brought her downfall.

Anyway, I am still proud of her achievement of being able to make it to the Top 12.

Who would you vote off ?

We've seen them perform and now it's time for us to judge them. Who would you vote out ?

The Final 12 sung their Lennon-McCartney Songs and some of them are just not great.

Syesha Mercado was electrifying in the opening. As usual David Cook rocks the house with his rendition of Eleonor Rigby. Chikezie was also amazing with his performance.Rockers Carly Smithson and Amanda Overmyer rocks the house.

Kristy Lee Cook did a country style Eight Days a Week and Simon wasn't impressed, although I'm impressed with her beauty. It was a soulful performance for Brooke White, Jason Castro and Michael Johns.

Now that leaves me to my weakest three, Ramiele Malubay, David Hernandez and David Archuleta. David Archuleta even forgot some of his lyrics.

My choice to leave is David Hernandez. His version of I Saw Her Standing There was awful, dreadful and forgettable.

How about you, who do yout hink should go ?
